Ready Lift is the fastest, safest and least expensive way to lift, level, or raise the rear of today's most popular trucks and SUV's and add wheels and tires up to 37 inches in diameter. While other lift kits cost thousands to buy and hours to install, Ready Lift can be installed in as little as 1 hour, and can cost less than the price of a single custom wheel. Ready Lift recommends custom wheels no wider than 9.0 inches with 4.5 inches - 5.5 inches of backspacing on most applications. Using wheels wider than 9.0 inches may require a larger backspacing or a reduced tire height to minimize the chance of tire to fender clearance problems on some applications. Ready Lift states that it is the responsibility of the installer to verify correct and safe fitments. I just couldn't take it any more. I own a truck and it looked like it was too low. I've never been one to settle for stock ride heightsI also didn't want to drop several thousand on a full lift kit that would make my truck bed unusable (I regularly load rocks and logs into the bed). So, I decided a leveling kit was in order. ReadyLift has a great reputation so I ordered up this kit and installed it.Yes, it does lift your truck about 2.5 inches (your shocks and springs will take some time to settle after install).Go ahead and figure at least 2 hours for install and do yourself a favor and go rent or buy a spring compressor. For some reason, I just could not get enough clearance to fully drop the front to get the kit into place (I was about 1/2" shy). I suppose I could have unbolted the whole front end, but I didn't want to.Also, make sure you have good drill bits. You're going to need to relocate your front brake lines a little lower on the frame. With dull bits, you can plan on an hour or two to drill through the frame. With sharp bits (working your way up in size), you'll be done drilling in 5 minutes per side.Take some time to inspect your front end while you're at it. Ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. You'll have the front tire off. You might as well check those while you're in there. Brakes too.If this is for a 2008-2010 F250/350/450, you might want to order some new caster bushings for the ball joints. You're probably going to get even worse death wobble if you already had it because your caster will probably hit 0°. If you have it aligned, they'll say that's within spec. I'm here to tell you it isn't. You want about 3°+.Also, if you don't have an adjustable track bar, you might want to order one.And, it goes without saying that if you're still on factory shocks and you have more than 20,000 miles (yes, twenty-thousand), replace them. I recommend Bilstein.The back lift blocks are an entirely different deal. If you have a 350+, don't worry about them. Your truck should be level.If you have a 250, DO NOT BUY READYLIFT BLOCKS TO MATCH THIS KIT unless you have a regular or extended cab.If you have a crew cab or long bed, go ahead and go to the Ford dealership and get flat top (not tapered) F350 4" blocks. Your driveline will vibrate otherwise on take off. It is really annoying and the support people at ReadyLift will say they've never heard of that and that you are fine and that they install those blocks on thousands of vehicles. Don't listen. They lie.
